Dream Calendar

I have an old dream calendar that has something related to dreams on each day of the year. I'm not sure if there is any copyright problems if I make sure to tell people the quotes are from there, and not my own. But some of them are very interesting and spark thought.

The thing is, with dreams, each dream is completely different. If you want to figure out what they mean, you need to look at the symbols yourself, and figure out what those symbols mean to you. I hate spiders, but some people don't. So if I dream about spiders, it will mean something completely different for someone who loves spiders.

My psychology prof in high school told me about a students dream. This girl had dreamt that she could not choose which pair of shoes to buy. She was in a shoe store and there were just so many to pick from. In real life, this girl was trying to decide what college to go to. Now after you hear this, it might seem pretty straight forward. But sometimes the meaning has to be drawn out.

Some might say that we create meaning in our dreams. I believe the meaning is merely created by our subconscious which tries to work things through from our conscious life. And I believe that dreams are always important in figuring out what is bothering us. And by bothering, I mean what our brain is working on, not necessarily something negative.

There are so many untapped areas of our brain. I believe that not only are our dreams important, but that we can use our brains in fenominal ways when we sleep. There are so many experiences of traveling to other planes. I often wonder if they are more than just dreams. I know the people who have experienced this will tell me it is more, but I've never experienced it myself.

So here's to the journey of working with dreams
